The series consists of three episodes: the first episode 'The Moorish South' looks at beautiful Moorish palaces and mosques built in the period when Spain was an Islamic country; the second episode 'The Dark Heart' explores Spanish art of the 16th and 17th centuries; and the third episode 'The Mystical North' reveals how the north of the country has produced some of the most dazzling and iconic art of the modern age.
