Galapagos

Galapagos is a BBC nature documentary series exploring the natural history of the Galapagos Islands and their important role in the formation of Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. The series consists of three episodes, each 50 minutes in length, full of stunning images of the landscapes and wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. The first episode gives an introduction to the volcanic islands, including the islands' location, archaeological history and wildlife diversity. The second episode reveals how the islands helped shape the theory of evolution; Charles Darwin visited the Galapagos Islands on his journey with HMS Beagle; his study of wildlife of the islands inspired to write the book The Origin of Species. And the last episode deals with how life has evolved to cope with climatic and volcanic changes.
