Processing of Semiconducting Materials. Instructor: Dr. Pallab Banerji, Materials Science Centre, IIT Kharagpur. This course is designed for the undergraduate students to develop the basic tools with which they can later learn about newly developed devices and applications. The course will cover topics: Introduction to electronic materials, Electrical conductivity of materials, Direct and indirect band semiconductors, Semiconductor statistics, Doping in semiconductors, Elemental and compound semiconductors, Crystal growth, Bandgap engineering and epitaxy, Materials characterization, Thin film deposition, Metal-semiconductor contact, and p-n junction.
