Vincent: The Full Story
Vincent: The Full Story is a three-part documentary series presented by Waldemar Januszczak, exploring Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh's life and his paintings in a chronological order from his birth to death. The first part of the series retraces van Gogh's early life from his birth to his masterpiece, Sorrow, a nude study of Sien Hoornik. The second part explores van Gogh's life and works in 1880s, from his settlement with Sien in The Hague, through Nuenen where he painted Potato Eaters, to Arles. And the third and final part tells a story of Vincent van Gogh's life and his paintings for the last three years from Arles to suidide. The final part contains what most people know about Vincent van Gogh: 1) he cut off his left ear, 2) he painted sunflowers, and 3) he went mad.
