The Nazis: A Warning from History

The Nazis: A Warning from History is a BBC documentary series examining Adolf Hitler and the Nazis' rise to power, their zenith, their decline and fall, and the consequences of their reign. The series consists of six episodes, which feature archive footage and interviews with eye witnesses. The first episode tells of how the Nazi party was formed after World War One and Adolf Hitler was able to rise to power. The second episode looks at how the Nazis were able to seize control so effectively in the 1930s, and what factors contributed to their early political successes. The third episode traces the path to war with Great Britain and the alliance with the Soviet Union. The fourth episode examines Nazi rule and 'ethnic cleansing' in occupied Poland under Hans Frank, Albert Forster and Arthur Greiser. The fifth episode gives a revealing account of mass killings in occupied territories after the invasion of the Soviet Union.
