ARCH 221: History of Art and Architecture I (METU OCW). Instructor: Professor Suna Guven. The course is designed to furnish the student with a basic knowledge of major developments in the history of architecture from the earliest built environments to the end of the Gothic period. Major monuments and architectural development in Prehistoric (Anatolian, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Minoan, Mycenaean), Classical (Greek and Roman), Early Christian, Byzantine, Romanesque and Gothic periods.
