In this course we will explore answers to these two questions. We will study some practical source compression algorithms. We will also study how to compute channel capacity of simple channels. |Lecture 10 - Block to Block Coding of DMS (Discrete Memoryless Source)|
In this lecture we first state the consequences of AEP property and then use it to design block to block length coding for a discrete memoryless source. Finally, we state the block-to-block(lossy) source coding theorem for a DMS.
